Image to QR Code: The Right Way (Link, Not Pixels)

A QR code can open an image. It cannot store the photo itself.

A QR code holds a short string, not a photograph. Upload the image to a public page, Google Drive, or your site, then paste that https link on qrfyy. A scan opens the picture. Encoding the pixels into the square makes a code that is too dense to scan.

A Drive file needs to be public

If the file sits in Google Drive, anyone with the link must be allowed to view it. A private file opens a login page instead of the image.

Check the picture loads

Open the link on mobile data, not only on the WiFi where you uploaded it. If the picture asks for a password, the code is pointed at a private file.

FAQ

Can I upload a PNG and get a QR of that picture?

No. qrfyy does not turn an image file into a QR code. It encodes the link you paste.
