QR Code on Your Resume

Link a CV to a portfolio, a PDF, or a LinkedIn profile.

Point at a page a stranger can open

Paste a public portfolio, a PDF that is already online, or a LinkedIn profile. A file that only exists on your laptop cannot be the destination.

Keep it small and quiet

On a paper CV the phone is close. Start from the print size guide: about one tenth of the distance from the phone, then test the printed page. Leave a clear margin and do not cover the code with a photo.

Put it where a recruiter can reach it

The top or the contact line is enough. A code in the footer of a second page gets missed. Leave a blank margin so the printer does not clip it.

FAQ

Should the code include my phone number too?

Use a vCard if you want the scan to offer a saved contact. A resume link code only opens the page.
