The download uses the background color you set
The generator paints a solid background. There is no separate transparent-PNG button. Set the background to the color of the poster if the code sits on that color.
SVG is the editable file
Download SVG when a designer needs to place the code in a layout. PDF and EPS wrap a PNG, so they keep the solid background and do not get sharper when enlarged. A dark code on a light background still scans more reliably than a code with no contrast.
Contrast still decides the scan
A code that matches the poster color too closely will fail. Dark modules on a light field remain the reliable pair, including when the file is an SVG a designer places.
