Dynamic QR Code Generator

Create editable QR codes with qrfyy. Change the destination after printing without creating a new QR code. The image encodes a qrfyy link. qrfyy looks up the current destination and sends the scanner there.

How Dynamic QR codes work

  • You create a code and qrfyy stores the current destination.
  • The QR image contains https://qrfyy.com/d/ and a unique code, not the final page.
  • A scan on any phone asks qrfyy where that code points right now.
  • Saving a new destination updates the next scan. The printed image does not change.

Scan tracking

Dynamic scans record the time, device category, browser, operating system, and the referring page host and path when the browser sends one. Country is stored only when the network sends a country header. Otherwise it is recorded as Unknown. Full IP addresses are not stored, and scan details are kept for 90 days. Static codes on the homepage are not tracked.

Static vs Dynamic QR

A static QR code stores the destination in the image. It is free, never expires, and has no scan tracking. A Dynamic QR code uses a qrfyy redirect, so the destination can change. It needs the qrfyy service to stay online.

Pricing

Dynamic QR is free. One owner key can hold 20 codes. There is no monthly scan cap and no paid plan.

Create a Dynamic QR

The QR image stores a qrfyy link such as https://qrfyy.com/d/your-code. Changing the destination updates where that same image sends people. Free, up to 20 codes for each owner key. No monthly scan cap.

How this differs from a static code

A static code from the homepage stores the final link in the image. It does not expire and it is not tracked. Use static codes for WiFi, vCards, and links you will not change. Use Dynamic QR for a campaign you may edit later. Read the static vs dynamic guide.

    FAQ

What is a dynamic QR code?

A dynamic QR code uses a qrfyy redirect URL, such as https://qrfyy.com/d/AbC123. You can change the destination after the QR code has been printed.

Can I change a dynamic QR code after printing?

Yes. Changing the destination updates where the existing QR code redirects people. The image stays the same.

    Does qrfyy track scans?

Yes, for Dynamic QR codes. Static QR codes are not tracked. Dynamic scans record the time, device category, browser, operating system, and the referring page host and path when the browser sends one. Country is stored only when the network sends a country header. Otherwise it is recorded as Unknown. Full IP addresses are not stored, and scan details are kept for 90 days.

Can I use the same Dynamic QR on another phone?

Yes. The QR code is hosted by qrfyy, so the destination is not stored only in the original browser. Save the owner key to edit it from another device.

    Do Dynamic QR codes expire?

No. They stay active until you deactivate or delete them. Static QR codes also never expire, because the destination is inside the image.

    Are Dynamic QR codes free?

Yes. There is no paid plan and no monthly scan cap. Each owner key can hold up to 20 Dynamic QR codes.
